A ten minute drive from La Fenière brings you to the road side crag at St Mamet. Routes are bolted and graded from 3+ to 6c, mainly single pitch but also a handful of multi pitch. This is a lovely spot and you will see above you paragliders descending from Superbagnères and the odd vulture too. The crag is a feast of alpine plants that would do justice to a well stocked market garden! St Mamet is a two minute drive into the Allée d’Etigny with its cafés and bars for rehydration at the end of a day’s climbing. A further 20 minutes and you have another crag at Rouziet, again with an excellent selection of climbs, and then for the hard climbers there is the Grand Falaise de Troubat which was twice chosen for the French National Championships. All these crags are bolted. There is a very good indoor climbing wall opposite the crag at St Mamet if the weather is not on your side.

For traditional multi pitch climbs in the mountains we are surrounded by 3000 metre peaks within easy reach.
